Start Your Application Process

What you need to apply:

  • Information for the applicant and emergency contact
  • Citizenship information
    • If you are an international student, you need your passport information.
  • Past education
    • High school name & award, or equivalent.
      • If you are applying to a Diploma program, SAE-LA needs a copy of your transcript. You can request it be mailed directly to the school.
    • Any previous audio or film training.
  • Program Information
    • Program name.
    • Full or Part Time session preference.
    • Start date.

What to expect:

  • Upon completing the Application for Admission you will be sent an e-mail with the next steps required to complete your enrollment depending on the program for which you apply.
    • Please make sure you enter a valid e-mail address and that you have any spam filters set to accept e-mails from saela@sae.edu
    • If you are applying to a Diploma program, you will be given a username, password, and URL so that you can take the entrance exam.
      • You can find sample questions and additional links for test review by clicking here.
    • The e-mail will also contain a link so you can print a copy of your application for your records.
    • If you do not receive your confirmation e-mail within 15 minutes, please contact SAE Los Angeles at 323-466-6323.
  • Our Admissions department will receive notice of your application and will contact you to help you through the rest of the process.
  • All information you submit is confidential and is for use only by SAE Institute Admissions.
