(March, 2007) As part of the continuing NARIP Producer's Series at SAE-LA, renowned producer Desmond Child (credits include: Bon Jovi, Ricky Martin, KISS, Robbie Williams, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Cher, Iggy Pop, etc.) spoke to NARIP members and SAE students in our Neve DFC mixing theatre.

point (January, 2007) Legendary Producer/Engineer Ken Scott's seminar, "Me & Mr. Jones" in our Neve DFC theatre. Mr. Scott shared his experiences working with David Bowie, track-by-track. (October, 2006) JEAN-PAUL BONDY RECORD RELEASE - BROUGHT TO YOU BY SAE, M-AUDIO AND RED BULL: Jean-Paul Bondy (Compost Records) - The Path of Most Resistors.
(October, 2006) SAE Institute at DeTOUR in downtown Los Angeles. Students and staff spend the day working the SAE booth and attending the concerts. EMP head instructor Henry Strange and ATP student Kahlil Nelson entertained the crowd between artists performing on the main stages. (click image for more photos)
(September, 2006) SAE-LA installs new console: the renowned Neve DFC digital mixing desk will be featured in our mixing theatre. SAE students will now receive Official Neve Training on music and film consoles at the LA campus.
(September 17th, 2006) First SAE-LA "dodgeBall Throw Down!" (click image for more photos) Three teams face off at the Hollywood Rec Center for prizes and bragging rights. Unfortunately, the SAE Staff Team was unable to win a single game against the students. Thanks to our referee and Michael Costanza for helping organize the event and teaching us the finer art of dodgeball. We'll see you at the next one!
(August, 2006) Ritch Esra, founder of The Music Registry (publisher of The A&R Registry, The Publisher Registry, The Music Attorney Registry, and The Film/TV Music Guide), shares his 20 years of experience with SAE LA students in business, publishing, and how to survive in the music business.
(August 23th, 2006) SAE LA in association with the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP) hosts the seminar “Music Business in the 21st Century: Money, Careers, and Success”. Topics will include what to expect in the changing climate of the record industry and the best ways to plan, market and succeed.

(June, 2006) SAE U.S. launches web based student discount portal. For many years students were able to purchase Audio Equipment and Software at exclusively discounted prices through SAE's various industry partnerships. In order to make this process easier for the students and manufacturers, SAE U.S. has now launched a web based student authentication portal.

(March, 2006) SAE Institute Hosts the Neve 88D Roadshow.  
(January, 2006) SAE-LA begins the first classes in Hollywood.
(June, 2005) SAE Institute acquires AMS Neve.
In a surprise move Dr Tom Misner, President and Founder of the multi-national SAE Group, announced today the acquisition of the world's leading console manufacturer AMS Neve. Tom, an audio technologist, visionary & educator in the music field has maintained a very strong industry association and has been a user of Neve consoles for the past 30 years. SAE Institute will now be providing through its network in over 45 colleges in 20 countries AMS Neve broadcast/music/film and post seminars for past and new clients. This will be a first of a kind service only AMS Neve is now able to offer. The acquisition of AMS Neve by SAE represents a new Genesis in the world of audio technology.
