Program ContentBachelor of Arts (Honours), Recording ArtsNote: The Bachelor of Digital Media degree will give our graduates advanced standing via RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) towards the Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Recording Arts degree. Students will need to complete the modules listed below, in addition to those required by the Bachelor of Digital Media, in order to apply for credits at selected SAE Degree Centres. Objective: This stage furthers the development of music production skills relevant to the commercial and classical music worlds. It develops the understanding of relevant aspects of business management and legal matters as well as communication and research skills. This honours degree is a research based honours degree opening the way to the highest levels of academic education (Masters and PhD). Who is this course for ?
Additional Modules: Research and information sources: The ability to plan and implement independent research is of fundamental importance to persons preparing for careers in the infotainment industry. This module establishes some basic methodologies, skills and attitudes so the student can successfully complete research in this field. Professional placement: This module assists the student in gaining supervised professional experience in public or commercial organisations and facilitates the students' informed transition from an education environment to the work place. Based on the 'internship' model, this allows students to make contacts for future employment prior to completion of the program. Specialised research project: This module is the culmination of the degree program and is designed to demonstrate a student’s ability to initiate, implement and evaluate a substantial creative/technical project under SAE staff supervision. Students are expected to demonstrate advanced abilities in a chosen area of specialisation. This honours degree is accompanied by a range of special degree-related practical projects using our extensive facilities. * BA (Honours) degrees validated by Middlesex University, England.
